Bill Lyne just called and while we were talking, I asked how his I mother liked living at the Baptist Home in Culpeper. "Oh, just fine. , She said she started school in Culpeper as a youngster and was ending in a school learning t}ie three *■ R’s, Religion, Rheumatism and Romance”
Julia Settle told me a cute story about her grandson Bobbie Petersen. He caught a bird while out playing and brought it in the house with him. His mother and daddy told him he would have to take it out Well, they began to look but couldn’t find the bird anyplace. Several days later Dolly heard a little cheep coming from a dresser drawer—she had found the bird. I really had a time catching up with Mr. John Hill in Culpeper today, but after running him down at the old co-op or what’s left of it and running all over the grounds I caught him. Doug Swan, John Hill and Bernard Stokes are the hardest people to catch.
