The Commissioner of Revenue of this county met with the State Compensation Board in Richmond last November and requested a full time office assistant (part time help was already in use) and a salary increase of $200 a year, which was tentatively granted. Certain members of Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors objected to the request and two supervisors met with the three members of the Compensation Board and compromised, to /rant the Commissioner of Revenue office assistance 7/10 of the time with $100 salary increase.
