Glen Updike, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Updike, Washington, Va., has been chosen as one or four 4-H’ers representing 70,000 Virginia 4-H members at the National 4-H Club Conference, June 13-19 at the new | “National 4-lH Center” in Chevy Chase, Md..
One of the highlights of the program will be the dedication of the «ew center in which every state in the Union will take part. The Virginia funds have been raised by the individual clubs and it will be these delegates opportunity to present a set of flag staffs which are already in place at the entrance to the 4-H center.
Glen was chosen to represent Virginia at this National event as recognition of his outstanding 4-H Achievement Record Books, which he submitted to the State 4-H office April 1.
