David V. Chapman Sf. entered Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond Saturday where he will undergo surgery after a long illness. Mrs. Chapman is staying with her son and daughter-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman to be near her husband.

C., George Dodson of Warwick, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dodson and family of Grottoes, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Dodson of Shenandoah, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Oden, Sharpsburg, Md.
Guests during the weekend at Barlow, the home of Mrs.* Helen Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. :E. W. Gore were Mrs. Harry Slusher, her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Slusher and two children of 'Hagerstown, Md., Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow, Culpeper Mr. and Mrs. Don Osborne of Washington, D. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown and their daughter, Miss Bonnie Brown of Woodville.
Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Wayland and son of Norfolk are spending a ten day leave with their families here, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wayland and Mrs. Maggie Clater. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayland were Mr. and Mrs. Julian Wayland of Arlington.
