Sixth Grade Places

Second In Contest

During the past year, sixth graders in Warren and Rappahannock Counties have been preparing scrapbooks on health in a contest sponsored by the Front RoyalWarren- Rappahannock Tuberculosis Association. Judges were M ss Rebecca Earle and Mrs'. Parke Wagner of Front Royal, with Mrs. H. B. Winfrey of Woodville who announced the winners as follows :

Tied for first place: Otterburn Sixth Grade, Miss Ethel Ramey teacher with A. S. Rhodes Sixth XJrade, Mrs. Gertrude Griffin teacher. Second place went tto Mrs. Juliette Johnson’s Sixth Grade of Sperryville School and third prize will be awarded Mrs. Havenc’Sixth Grade at A. S. Rhodes. The class-room prizes are for $10.00. $5.00 and $2.50 respectively. i

The scrapbooks will be oft'-display at Weaver’s in Front Royal on Friday and for several weeks.

The entries were judged on the children’s interpert’ng and planning the dispjay of what they had learned about health during the year, with originality and nentnes adding up for total points.
