C & P Authorizes
Improvements
The Board of Directors for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Virginia, at its regular monthly meeting held on May 29, authorized an expenditure of $2^510,890 for the improvement and expansion of telephone service in its operating area.
Included in this month’s appropriation is $46,700 for the installa- * tion of additional inter-office carrier equipment that will be installed in the Criglersville, Madison, Sperryville and Culpeper central offices.
Total allocations made by the C&P Board to the various districts are as follows:,
Culpeper—-$1,072,860; Lynchburg—$201,000; Newport News —$456,800; '.Norfolk—^25,100; Richmond—$168,900; Roanoke— $440,230; and$l46,000 to the Virginia area suburban to Washington.
