Agesilaos K. Eliades, Fruit ^pecialtist of Greece and Exchange Student to the United States, accompanied' George Williams and tour County Agent on orchard inspection tours in the county las Friday, June 5th. While Ages could speak no English whatsoever upon arrival in the states, in eight months he can converse with ease. We did learn apple was pronounced melo in Greek. Forgive me 1 couldn’t give the pronounciation of peach even when trying to repeat it juSt after him.
Ages will leave' Virginia foi* Georgia and thence to the West .coast, Michigan and New York in completing his observations of our fruit production techniques.•
