The board of directors of the Fauquier County Chapter of the American Red Cross had a Called meeting on July 29 in Warrenton. Va. to discuss consolidation with the Red Cross Chapter of Rappahannock County; After thoroughly discussing this, the board of the Fauquier County Chapter voted unanimously to request consolidation with the Rappahannock Chapter, with the consolidated chapter* to be known as the Fauquier Chapter serving Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties.
The Rappahannock County Chapter board had pet on May 14. 1959 at the courthouse in Washington and had also* voted unanimously to request consolidation with the Fauqjuier Chapter. Both of the«e requests will be sent to the volunteer Board of Governors of the American National! Red Cross. It is anticipated that the Board of Governors will take action on these requests at their fall meeting.,
