Cfttle purchased at Rappahannock Angus Breeders’ Feeder Calf - Sale took top honors again this year in the Fat Cattle Show ar Ohio State Fair, in winning Grand and Reserve Champion carload; Best Commercial Steer and second in Pen Of Five! These cattle were purchased, fed, and exhibited fcy Raymond Wedrt.
Last year at the same show, Mr. Wecht exhibited the Grand Champion Carload, Best Commercial Steer and Grand Champion Pen Of Five from feeder calves pur* chased at our 1957 sale. Pleased with the performance of these calves, Mr. Wecht returned to the 1958 sale buying 40 head Fancy and 50 Choice steer calves, which were consigned by 28 breeders.
Naturally Rodes Brown, President Rappahannock Angus Breeders, was elated over getting this report by long distance call from Allen Randolph, Executive Secretary of Virginia Cattleman’s Association, who also/advised this was a record showing made by an individual exhibitor at the Ohio State Fair which boasts on of the largest Fat Cattle Shows in the L’.S.l 1
