At the September 1st issue of Drovers Journal, a dally livestock newspaper with nation wide circulation, I quote from a front page item entitled: “Wins Double Honir In Ohio Fair Car Lot Show”— Quote: “This is the first time any feeder has won the show two years in a row. It is also the first time any exhibitor* has fed both Champion and Reserve Champion carloads the same year.”

Twoitty apple pickers and orchardistk attended the apple picking 6chool held at Ned Jones’ Miller orchard on August 26th. Interest shown by pickers present was keen indicating their desire to maintain apple quality in the process of harvesting. Another picking school will be held especially for transient laborers at Washington Packing House at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday Sept. 22nd. Those whq could not make the school last Week will be welcomed.
Fourteen hundred and forty one feedtt calves have been nominated for our October 13th feeder calf sale by 42 Rappahannock and Warren breeders. Herd inspections start tomorrow.
