Dear E.B.M.
I read your Wednesday column faithfully every Saturday, it takes three days to get here ('sometimes 3 weeks.) •
The graciousness and friendliness that you mention in your column and I might add is taken for .granted down there, does not exist here.
During the chores of daily liviag, I find some of this go to —__ get out, of my way attitude rubbing off on me (its root little pig or lose your acorn).
My problem Miss Emily is this: Should I come home and starve to death graciously or stay put and become a damn Yankee?

Your letter was truly appreciated. I am always glad to know people enjoy my Rambling*.
Aa for coming back to the dear old South or staying up north, I would advise you to stay, root a little longer and come back with lots of acorns and retire as a Southern Gentleman.
