Lizzie M. Dodson
Lizzie M. Dodson, 59, wife of die late William A.. Dodson, died Monday, October 12 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. A native of Rappahannock County, she resided at Casdeton. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ella Wharton Newcomer. Survivors include three sons, Daniel D. Dodson of Centreville, Garland Dodson of Alexandria, and Minor Dodson of Casdeton; three daughters, Mrs. Dora Ann Jenkins of Culpeper, Mrs. Mary Jane Hitt of Casdeton and Mrs. Tacie Harriett Baldwin of Culpeper; two brothers, Bernice and James Newcomer, both of Centreville; and five sisters, the Moses Lula and Carrie Newcomer and Mrs. Pearl Settle, all of Centre* ville, Miss Mary Newcomer oif Flint Hill and Mrs, Susie Woodward of Amissville. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mrs. Dodson was held Thursday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hazel River Assembly near Rixeyville, with interment in the church cemetery, Rev. J. R. Heflin and Rev. E. T. Wines conducted the last rites.
Palbearers were Elmer Tippett, Henry Stanley, Elzie Compton, Alphus Jenkins, Robert Dodson, and Elwood Woodard.
