Pressure Treated Forest Products TO MEET STANDARDS OF AMERICAN WOOD PRESERVERS ASSOCIATION TWO METHODS of wood preserving are used at this plant: PENTA:—a product of Monsanto Chemical Company. When Penta is dissolved in oil and applied to wood in a closed cylinder under temperature and pressure it malces wood resistant to decay and termites. Poles and posts so treated will have a life of approximately 50 years. WOLMANIZED:—all Wolmanized treated products are, paintable glueable, non-corrosive, dean and odorless. Wolmanized treated lumber will be impregnated in a closed cylinder by the vacuum and pressure process with the Wohnan wood preservative to a retention of not less than 0.35 lbs. per cubic foot OUR METHODS AND RESULTS ARE APPROVED BY: Virginia State Highway Department F.
