Our Tractor Maintenance and Electric projects, which were held last winter in the evenings, endeavored to teach tractor care and the use and care of electrical appliances to interested club members. Thirteen out of fifteen boys enrolled in the tractor maintenance project and thirteen out of fourteen boys enrolled in the electric project, completed these projects successfully. Awards for the tractor project went to Walter R.>'Kilby. Louie Miller, Charles Dodson ai)(P Jimmy Dodson. Walter B. Kilby also represented the county at the District Tractor Operator’s Con; test held in Culpeper and placed fourth out of seven counties sendJng representatives.
In the electric project, Louie Mdler, Carl Putnam and Karl Jenkins were the award winners. Louie Miller also represented the county in the District Electric Demonstration 4&I in front Royal and was a red award winner. Carl Putnam attended the 4-H Electric Congress held in Richmond as the delegate from Rappahannock County. 's
Idle Annual 4-H Rural Life Sunday Service was held at the HiV Hill Baptist Church with Revi John D. Divers delivering the sermon to thirty-five'club members, parents, leaders and friends. I he call to worship was given by \\ alter 1!. Kilby, and following the invocation and a hymn, Marvin Bradford, 111 led the congregation in the Responsive Reading and a prayer followed, given by Peachey Lyne. Prior to the sermon, a special hymn was sung by the members of the Flint Hill Senior 4-H k iub with the piano accompaniment by Virginia Yates Bradford.
