After meeting with the county and assistant agent in Warren, a tri-county hog show was planned to -be held August 27th. Ten hogs .were exhibited from this count'' and David Lyne showed the grand champion single. This show involved two counties other than Rappahannock and a total of)fortythree hogs were shdwij by- fifteen

Our first place winner in our 1959 pig chain, sponsored by Sear’s Roebuck and Company went to George Powers of Flint Hill. This year (^eorge also purchased five yearling ewes, thus entering out sheep chain.
Also a newcomer to orrr already established sleep chain Dupny Eastham. Watch for. the results of these boys’ lambs this year at our Iamb show and sales!
At the annual 4-H Short Course held at VPI. Rappahannock Counts was well represented. Besides our County Livestock Judging Team, which included Randall, Francis and Lyle Updike and Walter B. Kilby, Harrison Powers was awarded a scholarship to attend this frill week event for submitting one of the winning Garden Records in the District. Also during Short Course. Walter {5.
