Robert Lee Massie, Jr., son of Mrs. Frank Spalding of Flint Hill, Va. made a talk at the Interdenomi n a t i o n a 1 Thanksgiving Day Church service at the Army and Air Force Base at Saumur, France.
Mr. ^lassie enlisted in the regular army on July 7, 1058 and took his basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, after which he graduated from the Army Information School at Ft. Slocum, \. Y.
He sailed for Saumur, France in January 1959 and is there working as an information specialist.
Whenever on leave Mr. Massie and some of his co-workers travel. He has taken trips through France, Germany, England, Scotland, Austria and Switzerland.
He aattended Rappahannock County High School and graduated from the University of Richmond. He was an instructor at Rappahannock County High School before entering the service.
