Farmers have until April 30, 1960 to file application for their incentive payments for wool and lambs sold during the 1959 marketing year which; ends March 31, the ASC office has announced.
We would like to remind farmers that they must present properly executed bills of sale at the time they make application for payment at the ASC office. This sales record for shorn wool sold must include the signature of the buyer on the original, the ' number of pounds sold, and the exact amount of money received. The sales slip for unshorn lambs sold, besides the name and signature of the buyer, mu-t -how the number of lambs and the-: lire weight, and bear the descript.on “unshorn.”
The applicattiojn for wool payment made al ter Ap; il 30 will be accepted only if farmers show that the reason for late filing was due to conditions beyond their control. Such reasons must be acceptable to the ASC county committee.
19S9 wool payment will be based on the average price producers received. Since this price will not be known until after June 1, payments to farmers will not commence until sometime around July. The 1959 incentive price is 62 cents per pound.
