In the recently published Virginia (Health Bulletin, the Commonwealth of Virginia showed a 78% increase in early infectious Syphilis from 1958-1960, according to Dr. L. O. Fears, Jr., Directtor, Rappahannock County Health Department. Seventeen cases of early Syphilis were treated in the local health department since June 1959. It is unknown how many cases went to their family physician for treatment of this ancient scourge, during this time, f Anyone desiring a free blood test may drop by the health department office in Washington, Virginia On the first or third Thursday of any ' month, preferably ini the morning.
