in General Election
As expected, the Harrison ticket swept to an easy victory in the general election held Tuesday'.
The vote in Rappahannock was light with totals .running about the same as in the July primary. Easing along with Governor-elect Albertis S. Harrison, Jr. were Mille E. Godwin. Jr., for Lieutenant Governor and Robert Y. Button of Culpeper for Attorney General. Tom Frost of Warrenton, member of the House of Delegates representing Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties, had no opposition.
Three Accidents On
Slippery Roads
Slippery roads caused three accidents on Rappahannock highways in the last few days. • On November 4th at '6 a.m. on Route 211 six miles east of Washington, a Renault operated by Susan Gerlock Jones of Milwaukee, Wise, skidded on wet pavement and overturned. Damage was occurred.
A similar accident happened at 1:30 p.m. the same day 3 miles west of Amissville. A 1957 Chevrolet convertible operated by Gabriela Borm of Takoma Park, Md. skidded out of control on the | wet road and turned up on its top. 'No one was injured, but $700 damage was done to the car.

Snow Flurries Wed.
Sunday’s rising temperatures 81 degrees, brought out hikers, picnickers short sleeves and bar* feet. Wednesday afternoon told a different story. Cold winds swept flurries of snow around and merchants stocks of anti-freeze were depleted. Baldwin’s. Grocery sold completely out and Mr. Baldwin said he had none left for his own car. Folks were shivering and complaining, but not doing a thing about the weather.
