A local fanner happened to put on odd socks one morning and was chided by his wife, who said that he certainly could tell the difference when he put them on. A few evenings later when Mr. farmer and his wife were entertaining guests, the Mrs. glanced down and to her astonishment found she had on mis-matched shoes. Guess it’s catching?

A friend who is very fond of eating told me that he suddenly realized every time a commercial comes on television he automatically finds himself in the kitchen with the refrigerator door open, so he is trying to break this habit, for the most exercise he gets is struggling out of his reclining chair to head for the kitchen. I think he is going to lose his “figger.”

Think a certain new resident in the county is undermining the morale of the local ladies. The gals have become completely spoiled with such expert beauty care that I hear “Shorty” is even having trouble combing her own hair.

Driving along the highway Sunday night, Sally and 1 kept seeing what we called glow worms shining in the road with their greenish light. Finally we stopped to examine one and were amazed to find that we had been seeing, of all things, spiders! After I got home, I looked up glow worms in the encyclopedia, only to find they are rot native to our country. See how easy it is just to believe anything.

We hear by the grapevine that a RCHS couple made the rounds of the U. Va. fraternity parties on Saturday after the Va.-S. C. football game. On Monday the Commonwealth’s Attorney of Charlottesville threatened to close all of the fraternity house's. Could there be a connection ? ? ?
