To Publish Brochure
The Rappahannock Development Committee has selected publication of a brochure, “Resort To Rappahannock County,” as their first project directed at development of economic resources.
Mrs. I. L. Parrish is illustrator and has already done an ink sketch of the courthouse for the front cover and an illustrated map depicting the county’s agricultural and recreational features. The map will be in the center of the brochure.
Printed matter will include a history of the county, assembled by the Public Service Committee. Following the Jiistory will be a description of the county’s agriculture done by James Massie and his committee. Contributions have also been written by these committees: Business and Industry -IH. SBarksdale, Chm.; Recreation - Frank Louckes, Chm.; Education - IHi. B. Winfrey, Chm.; Health - Mrs. Frances Thornton, Chm.; Youth - Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Chm.; Religious Affairs - Mrs. J. L. Turner, Chm. ''John Cargill, Chairman of the Markets & Public Relations and his committeemen, are handling mechanics of assembling data with Ed Harris doing the re-writes and continuity.
