Miss suzanne Leonhart and Mr. James Edward Yates, Jr. were united in marriage on Saturday, the ninth of June at the North and Southampton Dutch Reformed Church in Churchville, Pennsylvania. The Reverend Harold J. Schut, pastor of the church, and the Reverend John A. Frizzell, pastor of Saint Albans Episcbpal Church in Annandale, Virginia, officiated at the 8:00 pan. candlelight service.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Alfred Leonhardt of Churchville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Yates of Boston, Rappahannock County, Virginia.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white silk organza over taffeta, fashioned with a sabrina neckline. The back drifted into a chapel length train. A silk illusion veil fell from a pointed queen’s crown edged in seed pearls. The bride carried a white Bible and one white orchid.
Mrs. John A. Humphries of Annapolis, Maryland was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Alba Esposito of Newtown, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Albert Austin of Germantown, Pennsylvania.
