to the Health Department Budget for * 1963-64 fiscal year. The Board agreed to transfer'!this amount from Miscellaneous Operating Fund to the Health Fund. It was then unanimously agreed to approve the Budget as published with $3.35 per $100.00 as a levy rate. Other ^business included agreeing to continue to employ Guy Burke as Janitor during his illness and until further notice with the request that Mr. Burke employ Ernest Lillard as substitute Janitor. It was also agreed that the Clerk's office be ■ closed on Saturdays during the periods between Memorial Day -and Labor Day and that the Office be allowed all State Legal Holidays, at the discretion of the Judgeof the Circuit Court. *
Newman Escapes

Manuel Newman, an inmate in Rappahannock jail walked off from a work detail Monday morning. He escaped from deputy sheriff Ernest Lillard while cleaning the courthouse. Newman was apprehended the same day near Amissville by Sheriff C. K. Estes, assisted by Trooper Paul Dicks, deputy Lillard, Netus Brown, and Trooper W. A. Buntin. Newman was in jail on a charge of larceny after he took a radio and TV set from the home of Raymond AUsberry early in April.
