Sandra Orange
Sandra Orange of Woodville was declared winner of the Apple Pie Baking Contest at Rappahannock High School last week when eight home economics students participated under the direction of Miss Betty Blanton, Home Ec. instructor. Runners up were Joyce Dodson, Viewtown, and Carolyn Campbell, Washington, second and third respectively. All schools in the Appalachian Fruit Growing area held contests locally and winners from each school competed in Winchester at James Wood High School May 2 in the contest held in connection with the Apple Blossom Festival there. Contestants were from Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland.
