Program Planned
Monday night, May 6, the Planning Committee of the Market and Production Program of Rural Area Development met informally to consolidate the work of the previous meetings and to set up the working organization for the new Shop to be opened in Rappahannock County. The purpose of this shop is to have an outlet in the county where one can sell his home-made products or advertise his own specialty, such as sewing, refinishing furniture, decorating, etc. Also available will be instruction in new or old Arts and Crafts. It is hoped that both the individual and the ;Cpunty will profit financially through this work shop. The shop plans to sell on a commission basis, the commission being used to maintain the shop and to hire people to teach new crafts. All the work of management is to be done by volunteers, and all citizens of the county are asked to pitch in and help out to make this endeavor a real asset to the countv.
