Mrs. Fred W. Schaeferwas hostess on Friday evening to the Sperryville Bridge Club at her home with the following guests playing: Mrs. Robert E. Wood, Mrs. Robert E. Thompson, Mrs. V. E. Goddard, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance Jr., Mrs. Lucio J. Kilby, Mrs. T. J. Pillar and Mrs. Rudolph Patzig. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Quaintance and Mrs. Pillar.
Mrs. Fannie Eastham and Mr. and Mrs.. Lockert Burford were guests Sunday of Mr .and Mrs. Henry Hill in Amherst.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Pullen of Baltimore spent the weekend at their home in town.
Mrs. Thelma Russell and family moved last week into the H. S. Barksdale apartment.
Miss Virginia Yates Bradford was Sunday dinner guest of Mrs. Galley Smith.

Pfc. Richard Belch, USMC. who is stationed at Newport, R.I., visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Presgraves and called on other friends in town over the weekend. Private Belch who has recently undergone surgery will report back to the Base Hospital for further treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster were luncheon guests Saturday of Mr .and Mrs. Tom Frost in Warrenton. After lunch a bus was provided by the hosts to take the guests to the Gold Cup Races. Mr. and Mrs. Foster attended the dinner Saturday night at Chester Gap, benefit of the Volunteer Fire Department.
Miss Judy Latham and J. G. Russell, students at Shenandoah College spent the weekend with their respective parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Latham and Mrs. Thelma Russell.

Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Doran and niece Miss Jody Doran left Monday for their home in Kansas City, Missouri, after spending some time with Judge and Mrs. Rayner Snead.
