County Clerk, E. M. Jones, t discusses the desirability of having the records, including Deed and Will books, Minutes Kooks, etc, microfilmed for safe keeping and stated the $2,000 was included in the budget for this. The Board approved the expenditure, not to exceed $2,000, after bids for this are received. Introduced to the Board members by Health Department Nurse, Mrs. Frances Thornton, were Health Director of the Northern Virginia Region, Dr. A. F. Scheele; Dr. Leon Dickerson who will replace Dr. L. O. Fears as Health Officer; and Ray Williams, Advisory Sanitarian for this District. The question of County Dumps was discussed and it was suggested by Board chairman, J. Newbill Miller’, that Eddie Wood of the Soil Conservation District, view the proposed dump site on the Butler property near Sperryville to determine whether or not the establishment of a dump there would further contaminate the south fork of the Thornton River. At the insistance of Supervisors L. H. Euttrell and Herbert Foster, the question of a Game Warden for the County was discussed. Chairman Miller requested a month's delay before taking action on this matter. Current accounts were approved for payment before adjournment.
