Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Roy G. Johnson of Boston celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary September 10. There were about a hundred guests present to enjoy a delicious lunch and wish the couple many, many more happy anniversaries.

Many veterans who have service incurred disabilities, and who are receiving monthly disability compensation checks are not taking advantage of the Veterans Administration program of “Hometown Medical OutPatient Care.” In many instances, disabled veterans requiring temporary medical treatment or medicine for their service connecteddisabi lities to their own physician, obtain the treatment or medicine, pay for it themselves and then forget it, not realizing they could have applied for VA Out-Patient medi cal care. Once the program was approved, they could have gone to their own physician, if he is on VA’s list of parti cipating physicians, and received treatment and medication at VA expense. This is important to the veteran for several reasons. It substantiates and maintains an official recording of the veteran’s disability status. Also, it can assist the veteran in overcoming or controlling his service incurred disability and in getting the benefits of advanced medical techniques. Periodically, veterans disability ratings are review ed by the Veterans Administra tion and, in some cases where there is no record of a continuance of the disability or any record of required treatments for the disability, the veteran may later find that a
