his home, at the age of 73. He was secretary-treasurer and manager of Merchants Grocery Co., Inc., a director of the Second National Bank and a member of the Culpeper Masonic Lodge, and has been active in many community affairs.
A native and lifelong resident of Culpeper, he was the son of the late Edgar O. and Sallie Gordon Willis. He is survived by hia wife Mrs. Mary McNeil Willis; one daughter, Mrs. John Holden of Petersburg, by a former marriage to the late Mrs. Bertha Pelfer Willis; three sisters, Mrs. JFloyd H. White of Culpeper, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey of Sperry ville and Mrs. Dillard Glenn of Morattico; one brother, Edgar c. Willis, Jr. of Culpeper and four grandchildren. Also surviving is his step mother, Mrs. E. O. Willis, Sr. A funeral service was held Monday at 4 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church with interment in the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were A. Gordon Willis, Jr., E. O. Willis, HI, Eugene Tinsley, w. T. Bareford, Dr. Andrew Roberson, Guy Eavers, AlanHiner, Thomas L. Cline, Jr. and David Partington.
