With the new fiscal year for the library opening April 1, the annual drive for funds is under Way. This library is supported wholly by voluntary contributions from town and county governmental bodies, one or two foundations, and individuals. Although the State of Virginia has granted recognition as a public library, so far no state or federal funds have been allocated. A continuous and continuing effort is being made td gain eligibility for such allocations.
Meantime, the support of those who have helped in the past, plus riew Residents, is being sought through a letter which will be mailed this month. Your generous response is needed. The library is growing-fifty new borrowers have been added in the last six months-and the book collection must be kept alive and responsive tb match this growth.
