For the first time in some years, there seems to be a possibility of a freshman starting on the Rappahannock varsity basketball team. Harry Jordan, who last year was voted outstanding eighth grade player on the junior varsity and sent to a basketball camp this summer by the Rappahannock Jaycees, may see starting action according to coach Dean Hahn.

Other possible starters for the Panthers include seniors William Deal and Maury Nichols, both of whom lettered last year. Juniors Bill Kilby and William Settle are also battling for a starting position as is sophomore Clifford Frye.

Rounding out the roster are juniors Tom Wigington, Ronnie Myers and Lawrence Turner. Gary Wayland, also a junior, will see action after Christmas breaks
