Campaign Report
This week the County Chairman announced the Christmas Seal campaign returns to date are $449.50 for Rappahannock County. The chairman reported that dollars received last year from the sale of Christmas Seals allowed the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association of Northern Virginia to be able to perform numerous services to the communities involved. Christmas Seals also provide for professional education and information - which helps to promote the latest and best care for our area patients. Seminars for nurses, therapy classes, and ten nursing and para-medical scholarships are some of the examples in this area.
Community services include working with local Health
Departments as well as tlypichool systems . The Northern Virginia Association has few paid staff members. Policies, campaigns, and publicity are all made possible by the work of volunteers, either as groups or individuals.
