It apparently pays to put your best foot for- * ward, for by doing so, two young men overcame a pair of robbers, bound them with rope and delivered them to authorities early Sunday morning.
Using a style of Oriental foot boxing, Kim Burgers and a friend, Pong Sak Pullsuk of Thailand, with Kim’s father Thomas Burgers, captured Cover Floyd Baker, 42, of Front Royal and Joseph Abraham Clatterbuck, 23, of Sperryville as they started to leave the Burgers home after ransacking it.
Baker and Clatterbuck made their exit by way of the rear entrance, one with a guitar and power saw in a case, and as they did, Kim, who is 15, and his friend downed them.
The Burgers had arrived home about 2 a.m. to find an unfamiliar car in the driveway; Sensing foul play, they quietly made their way to the house to witness flashlights bobbing around inside. They quickly took positions at the exits and as the robbers emerged through the rear door they were overpowered and tied up.
Personal property valued in excess of $500 had been taken from the house and some was found outside in a pillowcase which the wouldbe burglars were using as a sack. Articles int tfuded a German made camera, 2 pair ski-gloves, imported cigars, wine and other items.
