A funeral service for Robert Emmet Thompsen, 71, who died Wednesday, July 11 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital was held Friday afternoon in the Clore Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper. The Rev. Ronald Wiley officiated. , Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, Mi., on Monday.

Owner-operator of CabInn, Sperryville, Mr. , Thompsen was formerly connected with Sears Roebuck in Arlington. He was the son of the late Seivert and Josephine F. Thompsen and a native of Chicago.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Mealoy Thompsen; three sons, Robert S. Thompsen of Oak Park, 111., Richard G. Thompsen of Vienna, and Sidwell Thompsen of Fairfax; a sister, Mrs. Solveig Shevelson of Chicago; two brothers, Thorlies F. Thompsen of California and Russell S. Thompsen of Chicago; ten grandchildren and a great grandchild. □
