SPERRYVILLE firemen are happy with the results of the annual fund raising; carnival, which grossed the organization in excess of $12,000. Appreciation to all who participated in any manner was expressed by Fire Chief Donald Gore.
Winners announced following the Saturday prize drawing were: Mrs. Rosie Whorton of Flint Hill, who now owns the 1973 Maverick given away; a $50 Savings Bond went to James Tharp of Castleton, and Virginia Schafer of Cat lett was given the $25 Bond.
Arthur E. Dwyer of Culpeper received die auto battery while Edith Wigington of Sperryville got the $10 in groceries. Twentyfive gallons of gas went to Charles Sisk, also of Sperryville.
