INSTEAD OF gleefully prpjecting upward curves on graphs and concluding that only more of the same will solve the orgies of excess we already have, why can’t people in outfits like Vepco take an interest in a broader approach? Are they really so enslaved to profit-and-loss statements that they don’t care what kind of air they breathe, what kind of water they drink, what kind of landscape they live in, or—and this is the most baffling of all_what kind of tomorrow their children inherit?
We commend the PEC report to all persons concerned about such “impractical” things as air, water, earth and the future. We’ll leave to Vepco and its friends that smog-|eclouded vision of the
