USE OF studded tires will not be legal in Virginia until November 1, Colonel H. W. Burgess, Superintendent of State Police, has warned motorists.
He noted that formerly the dates permitting use of such tires were October 15 to April 15 but the 1972 General Assembly changed them to November 1 to April 1 and the 1973 General Assembly did not act in this field.
