Not a witches’ brew but old fashioned apple butter which was made Saturday by members of Forest Grove Baptist Church. The group began at 4 a.m. with 70 * bushels of apples which turned out 115 gallons of apple butter. Roy Armentrout of Winchester, formerly of Rappahannock, stirs one of the six copper kettles of the spicy marmalade which was made. The apple butter is sold for the benefit of the church.
