THE mail election for ASC community committeemen is in progress; ballots were mailed November 26 to all persons eligible to vote in the farmer committee elections. The final date for mailing voted ballots, or for dropping them off at the county ASCS office, is December 6. If anyone did not receive a ballot, they’re asked to contact the ASCS office. Ballots will be counted December 8 in the county ASCS office in Washington, Va. with the public invited to attend.
ASC community committeemen not only elect members of the ASC county committee, but also assist the county committee throughout the year in the administration of federal farm programs locally.
