An essay contest for grades 5, 6 and 7 was held recently at the local elementary school and winners were, left to right, Donna Knight, grade 7; Patricia Scott, grade 6 and Marie Davis, grade 5. The contest was held in conjunction with American Education Week and topics for the essays concerned education and schools.
