Results of the contest included grade 1: Suzanne Skowronksi, first; Tabatha Woodward, second and Elizabeth Scherschel, third. In the same order in grade 2 were John Raney, Richard Crawford and Mark Brown.
In the same sequence for grade 3 were Margaret Scott Carter, Nancy Proctor and Debra Pullen; grade 4, Marc Streagle, Harry Hitt and Dana Buchanan. Brett Nicholas received honorable mention.
Grade 5 had Randy Norman, Kristi Clarke and Dawn Watson, 1, 2 and 3, respectively, and Pam Leake, honorable mention. Lynn Jones, Cathy Wingfield and Bonnie Norman were winners 1, 2 and 3, respectively, in the 6th grade, and in grade 7 in that order were Terry Williams, Tammy Armentrout and Cindy Williams with an honorable mention going to Jimmie Bywaters.
In special education Robert Renzie was first and John Singleton, second.
IN the essay contest, winners in the 5th grade were Marie Davis, Dawn Watson and Kristi Clarke, 1, 2 and 3 and honorable mention to Kevin Harrison and Ken Estes.
In grade 6 essay winners were 1, 2 and 3, Patricia Scott, Loretta Rutherford and Jay Susk; and in grade 7 it was Donna Knight, Terry Williams and Sharon Scott.
