There is another crop to use with corn which is close to rape, but which takes slightly more work to raise and this is soy beans. These must be sowed or drilled in the corn rows and plowed with the corn. They should be drilled about as soon as the corn is planted and one inch shallower, henoe will not injure the corn hill. An acre of corn last fall which was scarcely more than twothirds as good as the acre in which the rape was sown made 451 pounds of pork from September 10 to October 29.
