This was a good test for one year. If this could be repeated and results obtained for another year It would be a double test. I'hat Is what Earle Zeller did. In the spring of 1910 he planted a row in his breeding block from this same ear he had partly used In 1909. Last fall he found that It had this year yielded 116 bushels per acre and had retained the same uniformity In Its offspring that It had shown the year before. He again selected five ot the best ears from this row and exhibited them with the mother ear at the junior contest at Ames in January, 1911, and for the second time won the grand championship in this olaas.
