After all, if we could ask an ear ot corn about two questions. It would be an easy task to pick the best ear of seed corn. Starting with a good ear let us ask It, first: Will you yield well? Second: Will you reproduoe ears as good or better than yourself? Experiments have shown that ears of corn have different a*bllltles to do these things and that they vary just as much as do animals. It has been further shown that the appearance of an ear Is not a reliable guide on these points. The actual test In the field Is the only sure way. We wish to mention briefly how a boy got some remarkable results by this method.
