Joseph Soione MacLaughlan was born May 17,1827 in Antrum County, Ireland and died June 15,1911 at Maramec, Oklahoma. He came to America in 1854 but returned to Ireland in a short time and came back to America in 1861 He was married in 1863 to Isabella Williams of Philadelphia. They movfd to Audubon County in 1882and lived two miles north of Audubon. Mr. MacLaughlan went to Oklahoma in 1894 to make his home. Seven children were born to tbem, four boys and three girls. Mr. MacLaughlan united with the Presbyterian Church here when 17 years old. He joined the Methodist Church in 1910 by letter He went to Pawnee, Oklahoma Jaat October and then later went to Maramec where he died. The funeral was held Saturday conducted by Rev. J, H. Freedline. Tbe burial waa in the Maple Grove Cemetery beside his wife We extend our heartfelt sympathy to tbe sorrowing children in this sad hour. Mrs, McLaughlan died in 1S90,
