Mrs. Johanne Markussen nee Sorenson, wife of Jena Markussen was born in Frederic'nsborg Amt. Denmark January 12tb, 1S41 and died in Audubon, Iowa, June loth, 1911. She WHS 70 yre. 5 months and 3 days old at the time of her death. Mre. Sine Kellogg is an only surviving child by a farmer marriage iu Denmaiu. After the death of her first husband she was married to Jecs Markussen and came to America in 1884 and has retided with her husbatid in Audubon since. Mr. Marquessen is now mourning over th^oss of a good wife. Fuueral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Danish Lutheran Church und were conducted by the Rev. Christiansen and tbe body was laid to rest in the Arlington Heights Cemetery.
