Setting up 4-H program calen. dar for this year was the purpose of 4-H County Planning Committee which met Friday morning. The group planned demonstrations and programs for this year. The projects chosen by the clubs were: Junior projects: Food for Pep, Card and Arrangement of Room, and So You’d Like to Sew. Senior projects: Room Improvement, Looking Your Best, and Make and Remake. Mrs. George Taylor and Mrs. Frank Cary, 4-H leaders, aided 4-H members in their chosen programs. The girls present at the meeting were: Lelia 'Gentry and Georgia Standish for senior group; and Evelyn Miller and Betty Johnson for junior group.
The County Executive Committee met at the home of Mrs. Les Walters on Friday, September 21. The purpose of the meeting was discussion of H.D. planning, meeting to be held October 5 at that time calendar for demonstrations for each club will be decided. Also the federation goal, objectives of clubs and ways the program development leaders ran help in carrying out the program."
At 3 o’clock that afternoon (October 3) the ladies are going to remodel their hats which they have restyled at their September meeting.
Mrs. Marshall Jenkins had the meeting of F. T. Valley No. 2 ELD.club at her home Friday, September 21. During the dem. three hats were cleaned and restyled.
Amissville H.D. club met at the home of Mrs. Floyd Hitt, Wednesday, September 19. Six hats were cleaned and restyled. During the business meeting program suggestions for nesf year were discussed. - *' "‘y ■ v
Mrs. Barbara Gentry had the Flint 'Hill H.D. meeting at her home Tuesday, September 18. Programs suggested for 1952 were discussed and during the meeting ten hats were cleaned and restyled. *
