MRS. CARRIE & WIGINGTON

Funeral service* fo* Mrs. Carrie Butler Wigington, who died at her residence in Sperryville Sunday morning after a long period of declining health, were held Tuesday afternoon from Hopewell Baptist church. Rev. L. M. Carroll conducted the services and - interment war in the family cam* - etery. . ",

Mrs. Wigington, 67, was the daughter of William Butler and Margaret Butler of Rappahannock county. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sallie Walker of Cudderbackville, N.Y.; four sons,* Harold, John, Thomas, -and Wllard Wigington; three brothers and three asters, 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Carrie Wigington vtas very highly respected in her community and was appreciated for her thrifty life and her worth in her neighborhood. Both white and colored friends were present at the funeral services to pay respects to a good neighbor and .. a good friend. , 1

Since the death of her husband, James Wigington, many years ago, she had carried on the activities of her farm and orchard in the F. T. Valley. ,/ n‘

The Northern Virginia Sunday School Union will meet with the Macedonia* Sunday school, Flint Hill, on Sunday, September 80. The public is invited.
