Infant Baptism
Services of Infant Baptism were held Saturday afternoon, September IS, at 3:30 o’clock for Edward Jenner Wood III, son of John D. Wood and Frances Miller Wood. , ,
Dr. W. G. Pendleton baptized the baby in Trinity Episcopal Church, Bromfield Parish, Wash* ington, Virginia.
Sponsors were Edward Jenner Wood, Jr.,. John B. Eshelman, and Miss Louise Strother Miller." The baby wore the dress which his grandfather, Dr. Edwerd Jenner Wood, wore at his baptism.
Following the services, tea was served at “Millermead.’^ home of the baby’s maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jackson Miller.
Edward Jenner Wood III was born July 26, 1951.

Mr* Dr B. Miller and Mist Charlotte Golladay have on hand membership tickets for sale for the winter season of Virginia Orchestra Guild for concerts in the surrounding towns. A membership entitles attendance at the programs in -Culpeper, Madison, and Luray. The series of winter concerts will close with a concert at Avon Mills in the spring, according to an announcement made by Mrs. Miller. m
The programs in Madison will include a vocalist, a drama group with the Holbrooks, and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. In Culpeper, the programs will be Lillian Moore, dancer. witli a humorous program; Stephan Hero, violinist; and The Virginia Orchestra. Mr. Hero is giving hi* concert free of charge this season because of an unfortunate circumstance Which occurred last winter. His regular accompanist was taken ill, and the substitute accompanist had never before accompanied a violinist — and it sounded like it. Mr. Hero considered the concert last winter. was unfair to himself and to his audience, so he Volunteered to repeat the concert, with his own accompanist. ^
