GOOD MORNING, GLORY!

(Published by request) Six Amissville firemen went to the*

city To buy a fire engine I’m told. They looked all the engines over And saw all the sights to behold.

Coming home they stopped at a

restaurant So each could eat his fill. There at the edge of the table Sat a bouquet in the window sill.

It seems it really was lovely With morning glories trailing over

the rim. . •, The Vice-President sat first at the

table So .the vines were right next to him.

They all ordered big seafood platters And garden salads with dressing; Then what occurred after that Might be considered a blessing.

The Veep got the vines mixed with

his salad As deftly he tossed the green shoots; ^And evne before they could stop him Had eaten most down to the roots.

For years we’ve been pestered with

morning glories. .~.. We have fought them but always lost At last here’s a way to use them— With dressing, in a salad, well

tossed.
